HISTORY
Football Club Levski was founded on May 24, 1914. The founders were students from a high-school in Sofia. The idea came up in 1911 but the club was registered officially in 1914. Levski is the most popular football team in Bulgaria. It has millions of supporters. The audience of the home matches of the team always is the biggest in Bulgaria and the blue fans are known as the most temperament and devoted fans in Bulgaria. Two forwards are the club's most famous and praised players - Georgi Asparuhov - Gundi in the 60's and Nasko Sirakov in the 80's & 90's.
Levski has been champion of Bulgaria 23 times and in the tournament for the National Cup of Bulgaria Levski is the absolute record-holder with its 25 cups.
